Let's assume; XYZ Ceramic company have chosen us as logistics service provider to export their ceramic products from Turkiye to Germany.
To manage this export operation, we will open a new project on Modaltrans. To start to a new project; you can click 'New Project' button on projects module. It will open an empty project form.
When we save the form above, Modaltrans will start a new project with a new reference number.
Now, we will add booking to project with 'Add New Booking' button on project screen. It will open an empty booking form.
We will enter booking details like, customer company, loading and unloading points, commodity, sender and consignee, foreign agent, brut weight and package details. If customer company is not registered yet, you can create company record from same screen with blue '+' button.
We can add loading and unloading points and package details later, so they are optional.
After saving booking form Modaltrans will give a reference number. Booking has its own profile page, you can add booking details from this page.
Now let's go back to project page by clicking to project reference.
At this point, we can add estimated debit and credit invoice lines. We can add freight price and other prices in details we want.
When the real invoice printed, we can control amounts with these lines.
As planned, the goods will be transported with trailer and RORO. So, when the trucks are loaded and hit the road for custom, we will add this transportation details to project. On project page, click to 'New Voyage' -> 'New Truck/Road Voyage' and it will open the transportation form. We can enter trailer and truck plate, departure and arrival details.
After custom procedures are completed, truck and trailer will be loaded to RORO. So, we will add RORO details to project. Again, on project page, click to 'New Voyage' -> 'New Ship/RORO Voyage' and it will open sea transportation form. We can enter ship name, voyage number and departure and arrival details.
When RORO ship has reached to Trieste, the truck and trailer will get off from the ship and thep will continue on the road. So, we will add this road transportation details to project. As we complete all voyages, we can see all these transportations on project page.
While all these operations take place, we can assing tasks to teammates, we can share documents related to project or we can discuss anything with team on this project.
After all goods are delivered to consignee and debit and credit invoices took place, we must close the project.
